There exists an interesting paradox in scripture where:
a) We are nothing without God, and yet
b) We are everything to God.
How does one reconcile this seeming contradiction?
Let’s use basic arithmetic to illustrate this important principle.
Let say that
A = You, and
B = God, and
0 = Nothing
then the idea that “You are nothing without God” is expressed thus
A – B = 0
That’s all nice and dandy, but the surprise comes when you solve this equation for A.
A = B
Wow! Did you see this coming?
That is the solution to this famous paradox. Anyone who says he is nothing without God, actually says that he is God!
And it is true enough if you consider that we are all ONE consciousness.
Now some may consider this blasphemy, but scriptures seem to strongly support this idea:
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God
And from Jesus:
Therefore, what manner of men ought ye to be? Verily I say unto you, even as I am.
Now here is another interesting consequence of this Theorem. Because this Theorem equally applies to all, not only are we nothing without God, but because we are all ONE consciousness, we are actually nothing without ANY ONE, because we do not exist without them, nor they without us, because they are inseparable part of us. (Remember, spirit cannot be destroyed and has no end of being.)
Thus you can honestly say to anyone: “I am nothing without you!”
Doesn’t that sound like a proclamation of love? Well, It is!
This is why God is so eternally humble, and loves all as Himself, because he understands this great Truth, that we are all ONE.
